What is ABTA and ATOL protection? ABTA stands for the Association of British Travel Agents and ATOL stands for Air Travel Organisers Licence. When you book your holiday with ABTA or ATOL members such as us, this gives you complete protection should anything go wrong on your holiday or with your booking. Can I book a flight only? Yes, MaanTravel can book flights only.
Do I have to pay all in one go? You will be required to pay a deposit upon booking and if you do not choose to pay the full balance right away, you will be required to pay by the due date given on your booking confirmation.You can make this payment by contacting one of our members. Failure to make the full payment by the due date could result in your booking being cancelled by your airline or tour operator, and you will be subject to any cancellation fees set out in their terms and conditions.
Do I need to purchase Travel Insurance? We would always advise making sure you have cover for your holiday.We offer travel insurance and your Travel Consultant can advise you of a better option.
What is API and who do I give this information to?
API stands for Advance passenger Information and is normally required by your airline before you travel. You may have already provided your API at the time of booking, but if not this can be done to the airlines directly. If you are unsure please speak to one of our members.
How will I receive my tickets? Most tickets these days are assigned electronically and are called an e-ticket. Should you wish to receive confirmation on post, please speak to one of our members.
How early can I book my holiday? You can book as far as 12 month in advance depending on the availability and price.
What documents do I need to travel? It is your responsibility to ensure you have all the documents with you when you travel.These include a valid passport, the appropriate visa(where required), travel Insurance and any other health documents such as your EHIC card.
Can I change my holiday to a different date/destination? It is possible to change the dates/destination depending on the terms and condition of the booking. Price quoted to change will depend on availability and admin fees from the supplier. Some bookings are non-refundable and non-changeable as they are on promotions. Non-refundable bookings are strictly non amendable.
Can I cancel my booking? Booking cancellation requests must be made in writing by the lead passenger. Please be aware that you will be subject to any cancellation fees stated in your airlines or tour operator’s terms and conditions. If you require a cancellation invoice for insurance purposes, please speak to one of our members.
